Luke Pinti
Pre-Dental Mentor
Biology B.S (24’) | West Virginia University
As a pre-dental mentor, I aim to communicate with high school students
considering a career in dentistry and share my personal experiences navigating college.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from West Virginia University in 2024,
graduating Magna Cum Laude with departmental Honors in Biology. Throughout my
three years of college, I led an independent study, conducted research, and completed
an Honors Thesis. These experiences helped me discover my passion for teaching &
research which I hope to further develop during my time in dental school.
While shadowing, I became fascinated with general dentistry, periodontics, and
oral & maxillofacial surgery. I am eager to help other students access shadowing
opportunities and explore areas of healthcare that interest them. Manual dexterity is an
important skill in dentistry, so some of my hobbies include rubik’s cubes, Lego
architecture, ssahng jeol bong, and chess.
